Dual Enrollment at Macomb Community College:
This option allows district approved public high school students to earn both high school and college credit for designated coursework. The school district is billed for the authorized amount of tuition and fees (students are responsible for book costs.) Billing is limited to a maximum dollar amount; students must pay any costs above the limit. Approval of courses and billing authorization is required from the high school principal and/or school district office.

Wayne State University Dual Enrollment at South Lake High School:
Wayne State University will be offering a 3 credit "Social Problems" class at South Lake High School during Fall 2018. The class will run 2 days a week from 2:35-4:00pm, in place of the student's 7th hour. On the days the class is not running students will be able to end their school day at 2:35pm. Please contact your counselor to check eligibility requirements. Deadline to submit registration paperwork and payment is March 31, 2018.
Early College of Macomb:
A three-year career-focused program that begins junior year of high school. Students take high school and college classes at the same time and graduate with an associate degree one year out of high school. Free (tuition, fees and books) to those who qualify. Must first apply through the Macomb Intermediate School District in January of 10th grade.

Macomb Community College, Summer Career Academies: Law/Fire/EMT, Media/Communications, Robotics, Culinary/Pastry Arts, Hybrid Electric Vehicles, Veterinary Technician, Biotechnology, I.T. Gaming, Computer Programming, Earn/Learn Apprenticeships. Short-term learning experiences for high school students that provide a clear understanding of what a specific career field is like. .
